WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BLACK HOUSE SOAP AND COSMETIC BLACK SOAP?

To make household black soap, olive pomace oil, coconut oil, potash and salt must be added. There are two common types of black household soap: liquid black household soap and soft black household soap. The difference between these two products is due to the concentration of water. Indeed, our liquid black soap is made up of 20% soap while our soft black soap and, as for him, is made up of 36% soap, the rest being water.

Soft black soap is therefore more concentrated and more economical than liquid black soap. However, liquid black soap, by its size, is more convenient to use.

There are two types of black soaps: the body black soap often used in hammams preparing the skin for the exfoliation of dead cells, and the household black soap which allows to maintain its interior and its garden.

Although similar, the difference in composition is mainly due to the quality of the oils used.

The manufacture of black soap and olive Marseille soap is quite similar. Indeed, in both cases, it is necessary to mix olive pomace oil, coconut oil, salt, and an agent that allows the saponification of oils. It is this agent that constitutes the main difference between Marseille soap and black soap. Indeed, the soda makes the soap hard (as in Marseille soap) and the potash makes the soap soft (black soap).

The difference also lies in their use. It is true that Marseille soap is also suitable for cleaning the house, the laundry and for the toilet. On the other hand, black soap is either dedicated to body use or to household use.
