The prices on the website are in euros including all taxes, besides the shipping and delivery costs, and are subject to change over the course of the year. All ordered products are charged to the current price at the time of the order.
Order and transaction validation
You order is then processed in order to deliver your order. You can print your order form.
As soon as your order is registered, a detailed receipt will be sent to your e-mail address. This receipt will specify the exact invoice and terms of delivery of your order. This receipt supposes acceptance of the order which will validate the transaction. The online order system and database is the legal reference of content and date of the order.
However, we reserve the right to cancel any order from a customer with whom there is a dispute concerning payment of a previous order.
Our product offerings and prices are valid only within the limits of available stock.
If a product is unavailable after placing your order, you can request the cancellation (refund by check) or an exchange of your order by notifying us by e-mail.
Our sales and price apply for delivery from our factory in Marseille, 13014. Our products are only delivered to the countries listed in the drop-down menu accessible while creating your client account or choosing your recipient. You are responsible for providing us with all information required to enable the delivery of your order.
Preparation and delivery time are indicative only.
The average periods of treatment and preparation of your order are from 7 to 8 working days, as well as the additional delivery period of our selected carriers: TNT, So Colissimo…
Your order is sent by post. We negotiate delivery costs, on your behalf, with the Post Office. This delivery cost will be at your expense.
Our company , NCDSM (La Nouvelle Compagnie de Détergents et du Savon de Marseille) will do its utmost to respect the delivery period. However, a delay in delivery does not entail the cancellation of an order, penalties or damages of any kind. Nevertheless, the buyer will be allowed to cancel its order in the case of non-delivery due to “force majeure” by a thirty-day period from the order’s registration. In this case, NCDSM will pay back any amount levied for the order, except for any grievances or damages requested by the buyer.
An act of “force majeure” is namely regarded as fire, total or partial strike of postal services, accident or failure of the carrier or any NCDSM supplier.
In any instance, on-time delivery supposes that the Customer is up-to-date with any obligations to NCDSM. You are required to verify and accept the quality of the goods delivered and give details of any anomalies on the delivery coupon at the time of the delivery and before signing the delivery order of the carrier. The inspection of the condition of the product is considered as done once the delivery receipt is signed.
If the package appears torn, damaged or opened, you must check the status of the articles contained in the package. If the products are damaged, you have to refuse the package and write down the reason on the delivery coupon. If the carrier is the postal service, you have to ask for an alteration declaration while refusing the package. If not, you will have to point out the anomalies by registered mail and confirm it to the carrier no later than 72 working hours after the articles are received. A copy of these documents must be sent to NCDSM: 66 chemin de Sainte Marthe – 13014 Marseille – FRANCE.
If the product did not meet your expectations, do not worry: send the item back in the original packaging, in perfect condition, within 10 days of its receipt to this address: NCDSM: 66 chemin de Sainte Marthe 13014 Marseille, FRANCE.
We are committed to change or refund it by check within 15 days of its receipt according to the following terms:
- If the package is sent back without being opened, we will pay you back the products and the delivery fees.
- If the article sent back is unsuitable for sale, we will sent it back to you. Delivery fees remain your responsibility.
- If the product is returned due to an error for which we are responsible: we will reimburse the cost of the product and the postage charges (including for the return.)
Beyond the withdrawal period, any product returned must be the subject of a formal agreement between the buyer and NCDSM and will be pay back through a credit note.
As of reception of the agreement, you have 15 days to send the product back. Once this period has passed, the return will be refused.
We advise you to use a tracked parcel to send your return package to Nouvelle Compagnie des Détergents et du Savon de Marseille (NCDSM) – Service Retours : 66 Chemin de Sainte Marthe, 13014 Marseille. We are not responsible for packages that we did not send. Only the consignor is able to make the necessary enquiries toward postal services.
Shipping costs are charged to the customer. Please note that we cannot offer exchanges or refunds on any opened, used products or without the order’s invoice. To process your request, remember to write down your order number and your full contact details.
The products offered are in compliance with the French legislation in force. Photographs and texts illustrating the products on offer are not contractually binding. As a consequence, La Nouvelle Compagnie des Détergents et du Savon de Marseille (NCDSM) cannot be held liable in case of slight difference with the photographs and texts.
La Nouvelle Compagnie des Détergents et du Savon de Marseille (NCSDM) cannot be held liable in case of the non-execution of the contract because of an out-of-stock condition or an unavailability of the product, force majeure, disruption, fire, total or partial strike especially of postal services, means of transport and/or communication. NCDSM will not be held liable for any consequential damages, trading loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunities, damage or expenses, which could occur.
NCDSM recalls that in accordance with rule 1124 of the French Civil Code, dependent minors have no rights and obligations in contract. Therefore, orders intended for minors must be completed by parental authority. In case of accidental collection of a minor’s personal data, the parental authority is able to oppose to their conservation and transmission to third parties.

MODIFICATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Given possible evolution of the website, La Nouvelle Compagnie des Détergents et du Savon de Marseille (NCDSM) reserves the right to adapt or to modify at any time these terms and conditions.
In that case, these new terms and conditions will be made known through the website and will only be applicable to orders done after the modification.
Memberships in our Loyalty Program are open to each interested individual, for their strictly personal use and subject to only one account per person. NCDSM employees, as well as companies, associations, or any other legal entity, may not participate in the program. Individuals at least 18 years of age are eligible to become members of the program. The NCDSM reserves the right to exclude any member who has been found not to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Membership in the Program and its benefits is left to the full discretion of the NCDSM, which may at any time terminate the Program or change its membership conditions, operating rules or benefits by publishing the modified material on the savon-de-marseille.com site. Your continued participation in the Program after these publications is a result to your agreement on the changes made.
Enrolment in the Program
You have the option of registering in our factory shop or online. To be part of the program and receive all its benefits you will need to register, opening a client account in the Soap Factory Fer à Cheval/ NCDSM.
At our Soap Factory Fer à Cheval/ NCDSM, your sales advisor will assist your registration and will help you sign up for the program, by creating a client account or using your account if you already have one. Only one Account can be associated with an email address. In the event of a dispute with the account holder, the responsible of the membership Program will the holder of the email address provided at the time of registration. Purpose and operation of the Program
The Program is a way to reward and thank our loyal customers for the purchase of our products or the use of our services, as well as their participation in the proceedings we offer online. When you earn points and reach certain levels, you can convert your points into coupons of discount. Only one coupon can be applied per order and each voucher is not cumulative with other vouchers or offers proposed on the website savon-de-marseille.com and our factory shop.
The Program offer different levels determined by the number of points a member has accumulated on their customer account with each purchase.
Points can only be converted into a coupon starting from 50 points obtained, and a single customer account cannot accumulate more than 200 points before they are converted into a coupon. NCDSM reserves all the rights to cancel a coupon of more than 200 euros and to split it into several coupons, the amount of which is equivalent to the initial coupon.
Each coupon is valid for one year starting from the day the points are converted into a coupon.
Once the points have been transformed into coupons, the account will reset and re-start the counting of points from cero.
In order for your purchase to be taken into account by the Program, you must be enrolled in the Program and: (1) be logged into your account if it is an online purchase at the time of purchase; or (2) provide the Program’s member identification (i.e. the name and contact you registered under the Program) when purchased from our Soap Factory Fer à Cheval store/NCDSM. However, if your membership in the Program is terminated for any reason and you sign up for a new program account, any purchase made before the date of enrolment in a new program account does not qualify for points. Also, you will not be able to collect points from your old Account and transfer them to your new Account.
You will receive one point for one euro from your purchase of Fer à Cheval products with all taxes included, whether they are at their normal price, promotion, or on sale, in the Soap Factor Fer à Cheval shop / NCDSM or on the online shop savon-de-marseille.com.
Eligible purchases include all Fer à Cheval products purchased excluding delivery costs. Buying a gift card doesn't earn points, but if you use a gift card to pay for your purchases, you can earn points.
To earn points, please make sure you logged into your customer account before making any purchases. The number of points, if any, awarded for each action are determined by NCDSM at its sole and reasonable decision and, subject to a maximum number of points earned for each action during the membership period.
Only purchases made through your customer account, in the Soap Factory Fer à Cheval shop and/or on the online store savon-de-marseille.com are eligible for the program.
Points are accredited:
- for any direct purchase in-store: the same day of the purchase if you have communicated your name to the Sales Advisor and that you have been authenticated by our Sales Advisor at the time of the purchase exceptional during special events or promotion days (i.e. Heritage Day, Promotion Day).
- for any online purchase on savon-de-marseille.com, on the date the carrier picks up your package;
- for any recurrent order: twenty-four hours after the carrier picks up your package.
The points are deductible:
- if they were credited as a result of a technical error committed by NCDSM;
- if they are obtained by fraudulent or other activity that violates our Terms;
- if the entire purchase is returned or cancelled, with the understanding that in the event of a return or partial cancellation, only the points corresponding to the portion of the purchase not kept will be deducted;
- in the event of termination of membership for any reason.

- in the title of the communication emails related to the Program that you can receive;
- on the email associated with the online order;
- asking your in-store sales consultant.
Benefits and Rewards of the Program
As a member of the Program, you earn points that determine your prizes and your level as well the benefits and advantages of those levels. To exchange the sales and rewards, you must have accumulated the minimum number of points determined by us for a particular benefit. Points can never be exchanged for money. You need to be logged into your account to use your benefits. Eligible Program members may receive invitations by email or by courier when rewards are available if they have not refused to receive the program's emails and letters. Some offers can only be sent by email, so you need to make sure you share an updated email address.
When rewards are available, you can receive a benefit or be notified by email. Rewards can only be use on the next purchase.
For every euro spent with all taxes included excluding delivery costs, the customer account will be credited by one point. From 50 points, the customer can convert his points into a coupon. The highest level of points collected per customer account may not exceed 200 points, which is a maximum discount voucher of 20 euros. Discount vouchers are not cumulative with other current offers or other loyalty program coupons.
50 points = 5€ discount
100 points = 10€ discount
150 points = 15€ discount
200 points = 20€ discount
Neither accounts nor coupons, and/or program points, can be transferred, shared, or combined. Only the Account associated with the payment of products can accumulate rewards, benefits and/or points. We reserve all the rights to control the number of Accounts per household and to refuse, merge or close additional or duplicated Accounts at any time. Your Account information (including security information) is confidential and should not be shared with other people.
Rewards, benefits, and points earned under the Program have no monetary value, are not transferable, and you have no ownership over the program's rewards or other benefits. Purchase balances and/or points credited to your Account will be reduced or cancelled, depending on the case, if all or part of a purchase is returned or cancelled or if the credit is obtained by fraudulent or other activity that violates these Terms, as well as a technical error committed by NCDSM. The sale, exchange, transfer or award of any prize or benefits offered by the Program, other than through us, is expressly prohibited.
Rewards cannot be exchange or returned for points, other product or service, or a monetary refund.
We are not responsible for rewards, benefits and/or points loss or exchanged due to fraudulent activity on your part or by a third party.
If the membership is terminated for any reason, all points will be lost.
We reserve the right to change the benefits of the Program, how you earn points and reach each level of the Program, and how we evaluate and reward your eligible purchases and/or any other program activity. We reserve the right to limit the number of purchases or activities eligible for the Program and/or for a given level, the number or types of rewards or benefits that you may receive or earn at a given level, within a given time or for the duration of the Program, and/or any combination of the two options.
If you are concerned that a purchase or other activity is not being properly applied to your account, you should contact our Customer Service in NCDSM/Fer à Cheval. Your email must include your name and email address associated with the Program, the date of the Program's activity, and the problems you encountered. This email must be sent within a maximum of forty-five (45) days after the purchase or the activity in the Program took place. We are not responsible for late notifications of purchases or other program activities that are not credited to an account.
Termination and Modification
The Program and its benefits are available at our exclusive discretion. We may, at our discretion, cancel, modify, restrict or terminate these Terms and/or the Program or any aspect or functionality of the Program at any time without notice, even if these changes may affect the value of the rewards or benefits already accumulated or earned and/or the ability to convert accumulated rewards or benefits.
We reserve the right to exclude you from the Program or to discontinue your participation in the Program and to verify your Account at any time, at our sole discretion. Any suspected abuse of the Program, non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions, inactivity for more than 24 months, illegal activity, fraud, misrepresentation or any other conduct not in accordance with these Terms and/or interests, including any illegal, fraudulent and unauthorized use of rewards, points, cards, credits, vouchers, coupons and/or certificates of the Program may result in the revocation of your membership and make you ineligible for further participation in the Program. If your subscription is revoked, the rewards or benefits of your account will automatically expire and your access to the Program and features will be automatically terminated. If we suspect illegal activity, fraud, misrepresentation, abuse, or violation of these Terms, we also have the right to take appropriate legal action at our sole discretion.
If you decide that you no longer want to be part of the Program, you can delete your customer account. You will then lose all the accumulated points, benefits, and membership level.
We also inform you that you can also exercise your rights over your personal data at any time.
Guarantee Exclusion - Limitation of Responsibility
NCDSM will not be held responsible, or liable, contractually, (including negligence) for (a) an disruption of the activity; (b) delays in access or intermissions to access to the Program; (c) non-delivery of data, loss, theft, misrepresentation, corruption, destruction or any other change; (d) losses or damages of any kind resulting from transactions or the presence of third-party links on the site or the use of any reward or benefit of the Program; (e) computer viruses, system failures or malfunctions that may occur in the course of your use of the site, including a hyperlink to or from third-party websites; (f) any inaccuracies or omissions in the content of the Program; or (g) events beyond our control. We make no statement or guarantee that defects or errors will be corrected.
In addition, NCDSM will not be liable for indirect, special, punitive, incidental, or subsequent damages of any kind (including lost profits) related to the Program or your participation, whether contractual, collateral, or action (including negligence).
You agree that no contractual, warranty or action (including negligence) arising from, or related to, your participation in the Program, the use of any reward or other benefit or terms may be exercised by you more than a year after the generating fact relating to that claim or action. If you are dissatisfied with the Program, terminating your membership is your only alternative. We have no other obligation, commitment, or responsibility to you.
You are obligated to defend us, compensate us and relieve us of any loss, damage or costs, including all legal fees, resulting from any third party claim, action or accusation resulting from your participation in the Program in violation of any law, rule, settlement of these Terms.
Applicable law and Litigation
This program and these Terms are regulated by French law. Any dispute relating to this Programme, these conditions, your membership of the Programme or the relationship between the parties must be submitted to the French court.
